The Jefferson Elks lodge will welcome volunteers to help erect and take down the Avenue of Flags at the St Joseph Catholic and Jefferson Municipal Cemeteries for Memorial Day.
The flags will be raised Saturday morning at 8 am and retired Monday at 4 pm. The flags will be inspected for rips and tears Wednesday, May 31, at 7 pm at the Elks lodge in Jefferson. A total of 564 veterans flags will be included in the Avenues of Flags.
